Coroner identifies body found at Remley's Point

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's Office has identified a body found Sunday afternoon off Remley's Point.

The body of John Iadicicco, 50, was found in the Cooper River.

According to an incident report, Mt. Pleasant police responded to Remley's Point Boat Landing around 1:04 p.m. in reference to a body found in the harbor.

Police say Iadicicco's body was located at 1:17 p.m.

An incident report states Iadicicco's vehicle was found abandoned on the Ravenel Bridge that morning at 12:06 a.m.

Remley's Point was closed for roughly three hours while authorities responded to the scene.

There was no information released on the cause of death or the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body.
