Charleston, Summerville Meals on Wheels expected to reopen Wednesday

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The bad weather closed two locations of Meals on Wheels, which delivers hot lunches to home-bound individuals.
Meals on Wheels in Summerville, which works out of St. Paul's Church, canceled its deliveries Tuesday morning. Volunteers deliver 150 meals every day.
Meals and Wheels of Charleston, which is run by the Charleston Area Senior Citizens, also canceled deliveries, posting an alert on its website. The non-profit serves Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties, delivering several hundred hot meals a day.
Volunteers also do a safety check on the seniors they serve, who are home-bound or have moderate to serious physical restrictions.
Both locations are expected to be reopen Wednesday.
