Authorities continue search for missing Charleston man
The search continues for 51-year-old Timothy Jaskiewicz, a missing Charleston man who was last seen nearly two weeks ago near Savannah.
"I was very frightened and scared. The first night I don't think it really hit me," his wife, Courtney, said.
Jaskiewicz, a Charleston native, was living with his wife in Apollo Beach, Florida. He came to the Charleston area for a few months, then recently visited his friend in Richmond Hill, Georgia. On Feb. 16, he disappeared from his best friend's house. "I know he's out there and I know he's okay. We just need to find him," Jaskiewicz said via Skype. She says she still can't believe he is nowhere to be found.
Courtney said via Skype she hasn't told their young children that their father is missing.
"An 11-year-old year old and a nine-year-old here who need him back very badly and so do I," said Jaskiewicz. "I just want to bring him home."
Timothy's older daughter, Jessica Smithson, lives in Charleston. She, too, says she wants her father back.
"Please come home to us. We miss you, we love you and we need you more than anything," she said.
Richmond Hill police do not have any leads on his whereabouts. They are still searching.
Meanwhile, the family is praying for his safe return.
"We are just a normal family, he has small kids who need him, a wife who needs him, so we just ask for your support. We are just a normal family who needs help," Smithson said.
"They've got a lot of growing to do and they need their Dad," Jaskiewicz said.
Anyone with information on where Timothy Jaskiewicz's whereabouts should call the Richmond Hill Police Department Detective Linton at (912) 756-2863.
