MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Mt. Pleasant Fire Department confirms crews battled a shed fire in the 700 block of Nell Court late Monday night.

Officials say firefighters arrived at the home at 11:52 p.m. to find a 10 x 10 shed fully engulfed in flames. The shed, which was located in the back yard of the home, housed lawn care equipment, among other items.

The fire did not damage the home, but did spread to surrounding grass and woods, officials say.

According to Battalion Chief James Johnston, 21 firefighters battled the blaze, which took about 15 minutes to knock down. The shed was a total loss, and a nearby boat was damaged.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
