NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - One person was arrested after a foot chase in connection with a Remount Road armed robbery in North Charleston Friday morning.
Jermaine Givens, 20, of North Charleston is charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm and kidnapping, according to North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor.
North Charleston Police responded to a report of an armed robbery in progress at a store in the 1300 block of Remount Road shortly after 10 a.m., Pryor said.
An officer saw a man dressed in all-black clothing leaving the store and attempted to stop him. After a foot chase, police arrested Givens on Burke Street.
He was being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center pending a Saturday morning bond hearing, Pryor said.
