Power restored for customers in W. Ashley neighborhood after car hits utility pole

WEST ASHLEY SC (WCSC) - SCE&G officials say power has been restored to most customers in a West Ashley neighborhood after a car accident caused an outage Wednesday afternoon.
According to CPD officials, the accident happened around 2:45 p.m. on Hazelwood Drive near Orleans Gardens Apartments off of Orleans Road when a car struck a utility pole.
Authorities say there were no reported injuries in the car crash.
Police, fire and EMS units responded to the scene.
According to SCE&G officials, about 256 customers were without power in the area.
