ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A 56-year-old man was taken into custody accused of failing to register as a sex offender.

The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office took Robin Johnson of Santee into custody on Thursday.

A bond hearing is set for Friday at 9:30 a.m.

According to the sheriff's office, Johnson last registered in December.

"By law, Johnson was to register with the OCSO again two months later but failed to do so," authorities say. "He pled guilty in 1994 to a charge of criminal sexual conduct, according to court records."
