JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - A James Island man behind bars accused of sexually assaulting a teenager at a home is facing more charges.

On Monday, the Charleston County Sheriff's Office charged Terry Charles Mason, 28, with first-degree criminal sexual exploitation of a minor and dissemination of obscene material to a minor.

Mason was originally arrested on Sept  6., and at that time he was charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Mason's new charges allege that he showed an obscene video to the victim after he assaulted her.

Investigators say the incident happened at a home on June 6.

The 16-year-old victim said Mason had contacted her through Facebook. The victim said she then asked Mason to buy alcohol for her.

The victim reported that Mason came to the home and provided alcohol and drugs to her.

According to court records, when the victim blacked out, she awoke and found Mason having sex with her. The victim reported that she repeatedly told Mason to stop and that she did not want to have sex.

The victim said after Mason assaulted her, he began to browse videos on his phone and showed one, which the victim characterized as pornography, to her.

CCSO officials said the video showed a teenager dancing in a sexual manner and making sexual statements.

The victim was transported to MUSC.

Mason was given a $200,000 bond for the charges he faced on Sept. 6. His bond hearing for the new charges is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
