Human remains found in Awendaw identified as Ehrhardt man shot in the head

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner's Office says human remains found in Awendaw on Sept. 25 have been identified as an Ehrhardt man who was shot.
Authorities say 39-year-old Charles Bishop died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head, and was identified through DNA.
The manner of death is homicide.
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
