LADSON, SC (WCSC) - Firefighters at the Caromi Fire Department in Ladson will stage a walk Tuesday night in honor of a fallen former comrade.

Randy Joseph Fallaw was killed in a car accident in Anderson County on Dec. 28. The firefighters will walk from the Caromi Fire station to the home where Randy used to live starting at 7 p.m.

"He had a big heart, loved helping others and made friends wherever he went," Fallaw's friend Kelly Gaskins said.

His passing has not only affected his family and friends, but also his community and fellow firefighters, she said.

"Those who knew Randy will never forget his lively personality," Gaskins said. "He was a man who lived life to the fullest and would do anything for his friends—or stranger for that matter."

Fallaw, 38, was a firefighter with the Caromi Fire Department in Ladson for five years and had recently been promoted to engineer when he was killed.
