NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police released surveillance images Tuesday afternoon from a Rivers Avenue bank robbery.

Officers responded to the South State Bank shortly before 1 p.m. where they say the robber approached the teller, motioned as if he had a weapon and presented a note demanding money.

Police say no weapon was produced, but the teller complied with the demand.

The suspect was described as a male, clean shaved with goatee and close haircut, wearing black shorts, black sneakers, gray and black shirt and black hoodie and was last seen running towards Rivers Avenue, according to North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor.

Anyone with information on the robbery or who can identify the person in the images should contact North Charleston Police at (843) 740-5839 or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
