Victim in fatal North Charleston shooting identified

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The victim in a fatal shooting Tuesday night in North Charleston has been identified.

Tarrence Simeon Brown, 31, died from a gunshot wound at MUSC Tuesday night, according to Charleston County Deputy Coroner Sheila Williams.

North Charleston police say the shooting happened at the intersection of Carver and Ottawa Avenues at 7:05 p.m.

Officials say the victim was found in the roadway suffering a gunshot wound and was transported by Charleston County EMS to the hospital.

North Charleston Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
