Report: SC police officer uses department credit card to buy $300 worth of gas

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A former Andrews police officer has been charged in connection with the misuse of a departmental credit card.
Officials with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division say 51-year-old Eric Wilson has been charged petit larceny.
According to an affidavit, while off duty, Wilson used a gas card to buy $300 worth of gas for his own personal use.
Authorities say Wilson provided a statement admitting the incident.
Wilson was locked up at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
The case was investigated by SLED at the request of the Andrews Police Department.
