Red Cross assisting three people following N. Charleston house fire

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Crews with the Red Cross are assisting three people after a home in North Charleston caught on fire.

The incident happened at a home at the 7000 block of Hunters Ridge Lane where the North Charleston Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire.

Firefighters arrived to see smoke showing from the residence.

"Units from the North Charleston Police Department were able to quickly extinguish the fire that started in the fire," NCFD officials said."The fire was contained to the kitchen."

According to NCFD officials, the Red Cross is providing assistance to an adult and two children.

There were no injuries reported.
