MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Singer Garth Brooks visited Lowcountry children Saturday ahead of his evening appearance at the North Charleston Coliseum.
Brooks appeared with former NFL quarterback and Coastal Carolina star Tyler Thigpen to visit kids as part of the Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation and ProCamps.
The organization provides scholarships for underprivileged children to attend ProCamps sports camps, which are hosted by professional sports figures.
Brooks is visiting camps at each stop on his world concert tour.
Brooks spent time with 60 Lowcountry children between the ages of 9 and 13 from Wings for Kids, Windwood Farm Home for Children and the Carolina Youth Development center.
