CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A 31-year-old Charleston man was arrested Monday on charges related to child porn.
Andrew Poff is charged with three counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor, according to state Attorney General's Office spokesman Mark Powell.
Investigators say Poff was involved in exchanging files containing child pornography via "peer-to-peer file sharing."
Several pieces of electronic equipment were seized for forensic examination, Powell said.
A judge set bond at $300,000. Each count is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, Powell said.
Charleston Police, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, made the arrest with assistance from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, another task member.
