Deputies searching for missing Mt. Pleasant man who disappeared after crash

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County deputies are searching for a man who has not been seen since the end of January.

Clifford Palmer, 45, was reported missing on Feb. 6 by his girlfriend, who told deputies she last saw him on Jan. 30.

He was last seen leaving the scene of a collision at Highway 41 and Clements Ferry Road near Huger in Berkeley County, according to Charleston County Sheriff's Maj. Eric Watson.

Palmer is currently wanted by the South Carolina Highway Patrol for as a result of leaving the scene and driving with a suspended license, Watson said.

His family told deputies he may be endangered because he has not contacted anyone in the family.
