GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office say no foul play is suspected in an inmate's death.
GCSO officials say the incident happened on Friday at 3:50 p.m. when officers responded to an inmate in medical distress.
"CPR was performed by detention officers until Emergency Medical Staff arrived and transported to the Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital," GCSO officials said.
According to the sheriff's office, the inmate could not be revived by medical staff.
The sheriff's office is investigating.
