Crime Stoppers offering $5,000 reward for information on downtown Charleston homicide

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Crime Stoppers is offering a $5000 cash reward for information leading to arrest of suspects involved in the homicide of Patrick Moffly.

Charleston police officers responded to a call of gunshots heard on the 90 block of Smith Street at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, March 4.

Upon arrival, they found Patrick Moffly suffering a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to MUSC where he later died.

Officers charged Charles Mungin in Moffly's death but are asking the community for help locating other suspects in the homicide.

If you have any important information about this case; something you saw or heard, such as people running from the residence or a vehicle leaving the area at a high speed, officers say you may have a missing piece of the puzzle.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111. You could earn a $5,000 cash reward.
