CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Flight restrictions were in place Monday night as Vice President Joe Biden's flight landed in Charleston.

According to the FAA, flight restrictions were in place from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. on Monday, and the only aircraft allowed were those that support the vice president.

Biden has been known to vacation on Kiawah Island.

Delays were expected on I-526 as Biden's motorcade made its way to Kiawah.

He has no scheduled events in the Lowcountry.
