Authorities investigating sexual assault claims against a school security guard

SALTERS, SC (WCSC) - The Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office is investigating sexual assault allegations against a security officer at D.P. Cooper Charter School in Andrews.

Deputies were told the male security officer allegedly assaulted five juvenile students at the school.

One student said the man exposed his private parts to a girl when told to supervise a group of students.

Another said she was speaking with someone when he approached and said "I want to find out if you can kiss." On another occasion, he took her to a room and leaned in to kiss her, she said. She turned her head and he allegedly kissed her face instead.

A third student said he told her he "had a dream about her" in which he "picked her up," but wouldn't say anything else about it.

The man is currently on administrative leave pending the investigation.
