CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A horse carriage collided with a car in downtown Charleston last week.

According to the Charleston Police Department, it happened on Friday on East Bay Street.

Police say the car and horse carriage were both traveling in the same direction when authorities say rubber fell of off the right carriage wheel causing the horse to become spooked.

A police report states as a result of the horse becoming spooked, the carriage disregarded a red light at the intersection of George and East Bay streets which resulted in the carriage colliding into the vehicle.

A traffic report states the carriage driver was at fault.
