Coast Guard medevacs woman from cruise ship Carnival Ecstasy

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WCSC) - Authorities say the Coast Guard medevacked a 53-year-old woman from the cruise ship Carnival Ecstasy approximately 150 miles east of Port Canaveral.
The Carnival Ecstasy ports in Charleston.
According to a report, Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville Command Center watch standers were notified by the crew of the Carnival Ecstasy at 10:43 a.m. stating a passenger was experiencing chest pain.
"A Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater helicopter crew launched an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter," a press release states. "The helicopter crew arrived on scene at 2:30 p.m., hoisted the passenger along with a nurse from the cruise ship and transported them to Halifax Memorial Hospital in Daytona at 4:45 p.m."
There was no immediate word on the patient's condition.
