SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - A vehicle fire near Azalea Square in Summerville caused a fuel leak that blocked a portion of North Main Street Friday afternoon.

The fire was reported at approximately 1:20 p.m. near Azalea Square in the 1300 block of North Main Street, according to Summerville Fire Chief Richard Waring.

The fire caused a fuel leak which caused the fire to reignite, he said.

One side of North Main Street remained closed while firefighters worked to clean up the fuel spill.

Video taken by a witness showed the vehicle completely engulfed in flames.

Waring said no one was injured in the fire.

The roadway has since been cleared and all lanes have reopened to traffic.
