CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Now that Springtime has arrived, two Charleston Farmers Markets are set up to open this month.

The Charleston Farmers Market opens in Marion Square Saturday, April 14 from 8 a.m. through 2 p.m.

It runs every Saturday through Nov. 24.

Located in Marion Square in the heart of historic downtown Charleston, the Farmers Market will also be open some Sundays during the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in May and June as well as Saturdays and Sunday in December for the Holiday Market.

You will also be able to see and buy eclectic offerings made by local artists and craftsmen. Some of the featured artists specialize in handcrafted jewelry.

The West Ashley Farmers Market will open Wednesday, April 25 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. It will run through October 3. Ackerman Park is located at 55 Sycamore Ave.

Both Farmers Markets will give you the chance to buy fresh fruits and vegetables grown locally.
