JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - A lightning strike from a big storm that moved through the Charleston area on Saturday afternoon was caught on camera.

On James Island, the storm got so bad around 3 p.m. that Live 5 News anchor Michal Higdon's husband pulled over along Folly Road to wait it out.

While recording a video, he caught his own car being struck by lightning. This happened at the Sunoco gas station off of Folly Road near the James Island connector.

We're happy to report he is okay!
