Report: Four people rescued from rip currents Thursday morning on Isle of Palms

ISLE OF PALMS, SC (WCSC) - A storm report from the National Weather Service says four people were rescued Thursday morning during intense rip currents on the Isle of Palms.

The currents were especially strong between 10 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. near Isle of Palms County Park, the service reported.

The rescues by lifeguards averaged between 60 and 75 yards offshore, according to the report.
