CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Junior League of Charleston Diaper Bank hosted its second annual diaper collection drive Saturday.
Junior League of Charleston volunteers collected donations at three Lowcountry Harris Teeter locations from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Both monetary and diaper donations were accepted.
Those who were not able to donate on Saturday have a chance to drop off donations on Sunday, August 5th at 3 Harris Teeter Locations in the Lowcountry.
Those locations are at the 975 Savannah Highway, 620 Long Point Road in Mt. Pleasant and at 675 Folly Road in the Oakpoint Center on James Island.
The yearly cost of diapers for one child can exceed twelve hundred dollars a year. When families cannot afford diapers, their children cannot attend Day Care. So, The Junior League wants to help out.
