Charleston Battery re-signs Dante Marini

DANIEL ISLAND, SC - The Charleston Battery has re-signed midfielder Dante Marini for the remainder of the 2018 season, pending USSF and USL approval.

Marini returns for his fifth season with the Battery. The Chadds Ford native scored two goals and tallied two assists in 17 matches for the Battery in 2017 before being sidelined with an ACL injury midway through the season. Marini has appeared in 89 matches since joining the Club in 2014.


Prior to joining the Battery, Marini played four years at Northeastern University where he scored 14 goals, registered 17 assists, and collected multiple all-conference awards. While in college, Marini spent a summer with Reading United, where he scored five goals in 19 appearances. for the USL PDL club.  

Marini is available for selection in the Battery's match against Atlanta United 2 Saturday night at MUSC Health Stadium.
