CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - State money is going in to help fix an oil leak from an underground petroleum tank at a Ravenel gas station.

More than $24,000 of state money is going to help fix the problem.

Circle K, which owns the gas station on Savannah Highway at Highway 162, is on the hook for $25,000.

The rest of the money is coming from a state fund.

Circle K plans to drill twenty-seven temporary wells to assess the leak, which was first reported to the State Department of Health and Environmental Control more than two weeks ago.
