CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Curbside pickups for recycling started again on Monday in Charleston County, but some may have to wait longer.

Charleston County environmental management said they won't be making up any missed service days, which means if Tuesday Sept. 11 is your normal recycling pickup day, it won't be collected until Tuesday Sept. 25.

Mount Pleasant, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms and parts of North Charleston all missed recycling pickups last week, so their next pickup will happen on their regularly scheduled day.

In the meantime, Charleston County environmental management is encouraging people to use drop off sites. For the Mount Pleasant area, the East Cooper drop off site on Sweetgrass Basket Parkway accepts paper, aluminum, and glass materials.
