MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - Investigators have arrested two people in Georgia for a fatal home invasion in Moncks Corner.
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old Grayson Brandt Griffin of Beaufort and 35-year-old Gabrielle Olivia Lashane Davis Kocsis of Moncks Corner face multiple charges, including murder, in connection with the Sept. 27 home invasion on McCrystal Circle that took the life of 32-year-old Mark Connor.
Authorities arrested Griffin in Guyton, Ga. and Kocsis in Savannah on Thursday.
According to the sheriff's office, both suspects face drug and weapons violations with Georgia authorities.
Griffin and Kocsis are the latest arrests in the case. Investigators have already arrested Matthew Grainger and Glenn Randall Lane II, both of whom are charged with murder, conspiracy, first-degree burglary and six counts of kidnapping.
Grainger also faces a charge of possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Officials with the sheriff's office say following adjudication of Griffin and Kocsis' charges in Georgia, authorities in South Carolina will seek extradition for both suspects.
"Working in partnership with members of the community and along with our local, state and federal law enforcement counterparts, we have been able to bring this case to a close," Sheriff Duane Lewis said."The hard work and dedication of all involved is just amazing and I thank them for their efforts."
Lewis said it was the combined efforts of the BCSO, US Marshal's, Effingham County Sheriff's Office and Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department that led to the arrests of the Griffin and Kocsis.
