Victim of fatal single-vehicle accident in Berkeley County identified

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Coroner has identified the victim of a single car crash.

Emilio R. Hernandez, 22, of St. Stephen, died from injuries sustained in the collision.

The collision occurred Saturday at approximately 6:20 a.m. on Cainhoy Road near Cedar Hill Lane.

Master Trooper Gary Miller said the 2002 GMC Denali was traveling west on Cainhoy Road when it traveled off the right side of the roadway, lost control and overturned.

The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
