The arrests stem from an incident in which both men are accused of luring a victim to an address on the 1800 block of Gilbert Street using a listing on Facebook Marketplace.

Police say that, upon the victim’s arrival to the address, Rhodes and Armstrong began an armed robbery against the man, using a handgun-style weapon.

The man attempted to defend himself, which officers say caused Rhodes and Armstrong to fire off several shots at him in an effort to kill him.

Police requested the public’s assistance in locating Rhodes and Armstrong on Dec. 23, saying both men were considered armed and dangerous.

Rhodes has been booked into the Georgetown County Detention Center. Jail records indicate that Armstrong’s booking has not yet been finalized and his mugshot was not immediately available.

Court documents show both men have been denied bond.
