BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has released the names of two people who died in a murder-suicide last month.

Darlisha T. Mcllwain, 43 and Johnnie B. Elmore Sr., 55, both of Moncks Corner, died from gunshot wounds.

Deputies responded to a home on Cicadas Song Drive just after 6:30 a.m. March 12 after a family member called dispatchers. They found the bodies at the home, Cpl. Carli Carr said.

The preliminary investigation reportedly indicated the deaths were domestic-related. Detectives were investigating the shooting as a murder-suicide, Carr said. There is no word on who initiated the shooting.

This incident is still under investigation.
