Nursing assistant accused of sexually assaulting child patient at hospital
MANCHESTER, N.H. (Gray News) - A nursing assistant was arrested after allegedly assaulting a child patient at a hospital.
Alexander Colbath, 25, was arrested Friday after a report was made to the Manchester Police Department alleging he had sexually assaulted an 8-year-old child being treated at the hospital after surgery.

WMUR reported that the child told her mother, who told hospital staff, who then reported it to police.
The child said Colbath came into her room and told her “he was going to look at an incision in her groin area,” one of three regions affected by her procedure, according to WMUR.
Court documents state Colbath started “pushing and rubbing his knuckle on her private area.” Doctors told police there was no reason for staff members to look in that area.
The child also said Colbath allegedly pointed a phone at the area and that there was a flash of light similar to a camera flash, according to WMUR.
Colbath was only supposed to be in the room to take vital signs and help other nurses, according to court documents obtained by WMUR.
Colbath is charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault.
