Police describe jugging as a crime in which a suspect watches someone make a large cash withdrawal at a bank, then follows them to their next stop. Once the victim leaves their vehicle, investigators say the suspect breaks in and steals the cash.

Detectives believe Taylor will be charged in connection with 18 recent jugging incidents in North Charleston, and possibly more.

Investigators estimate the amount of cash stolen in cases tied to the investigation is $269,350.

He is being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.

The investigation remains ongoing.
