METAIRIE, La. (AP) - The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a one-year free-agent contract with former Macedonia High star, safety Pierson Prioleau.

General manager Mickey Loomis announced the deal on Saturday without disclosing financial terms.

Prioleau signed with the Saints as a free agent prior to the 2009 campaign and led the team with 21 special teams tackles, playing in all 16 games with one start in his 11th NFL season. The 5-11, 188-pound product of Virginia Tech also made 18 tackles as a reserve defensive back with a pass defense and a fumble recovery. Prioleau played in all three postseason games and made four tackles on special teams to tie for the team lead. He has now played in 145 career games, having played previously with San Francisco, Buffalo, Washington and Jacksonville.
