Deputies arrest man suspected of shooting his wife

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office says a 77-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the shooting of his wife on Thursday.
Authorities say Monroe Mirray Cole has been charged with attempted murder in connection to the Thursday night shooting at their home on Handy Hill Drive.
Cole was being held in the Georgetown County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
The victim is being treated at an area hospital.
